Mission Statement

My objective for Associacao de Capoeira Conviver was always to be a family, because the meaning of the word CONVIVER is to live well, to be a family, familiarity, to be together.

I know in families sometimes there are problems, but we always want to resolve them and be together because family is a part of our lives.

To learn capoeira is not as simple as we think, it needs lots of practice. Still, we will never know everything.

Mestre Pastinha once said that capoeira is life (capoeira e vida, a vida enteira). I believe, we need to practice capoeira our whole lives, searching its origins and it’s mysteries. The minimum we learn is enough for us to be happy as long as we live together through the art of playing the Brazilian sport of capoeira.
